Play it Forward
July is Play it Forward Month!
Each year SimplyFun dedicates one month in support of our Play it Forward initiative, as a symbol of commitment to help make a difference in family life and in kids’ skill development each and every day.
Over the past decade, SimplyFun has donated over half a million games to charities, schools, and other non-profit organizations that support children and communities in need. We believe that all children deserve the opportunity to play regardless of their circumstances. Being able to give back to these children through our Play it Forward program is at the heart of our core values and mission.
But we never like to do it alone! We are thrilled to give our customers the chance to facilitate change through their purchasing behavior—to be a part of the donation activity and know that they have also been a part of helping a child in need of some laughter and joy, and maybe even help build a skill or two in the process.
Throughout the month of July, when you spend $25 or more on our amazing games for your family, friends, or classroom, we will donate a game on your behalf to one of our partners: Toys for Tots and My Stuff Bags Foundation. For Toys for Tots, we typically provide upper-level elementary and teen-oriented games as they have shared with us that while they get a lot of younger age products, they run short of games to distribute for upper age ranges. For My Stuff Bags, we are very conscious of the game box size because these games are included in a duffle bag with many other items (like a handmade quilt/blanket, toiletries bag, and personal item) provided to a child when they are moved into foster care; a game in a small box works best for them. In this way, we try to serve the needs of the organizations as well as the needs of the ultimate beneficiaries.
